Shipping & Handling

  • The following provides information on our processing and shipping policies.
  • Orders are processed and shipped on business days only (Mon-Fri, excluding Federal Holidays). 
  • Shipping costs are based on USPS First Class or Priority mail service and are based on order weight. Orders exceeding 15 oz (usually ~3-4 outfits) are automatically upgraded to Priority mail service. Please take into consideration that two-piece outfits weigh more. 
  • All shipping and handling times are estimates and are subject to change due to natural disasters or other events outside of our control. 
  • We also ask that customers carefully check their address to make sure that there aren't any errors prior to checkout.
  • All items ship directly from our fulfillment center outside New Orleans, LA. 

In Stock Orders

  • Processed & shipped in 1-2 business days (M-F). 
  • Delivered 1-5 business days after shipping confirmation is received. 
  • Please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for monogrammed orders to be shipped. 

Pre-Orders

  • Please refer to the product page to see the estimated ship date. 
  • Delivered 1-5 business days after shipping confirmation is received. 
  • If an order includes both in stock and pre-order items, we will split the order and ship the in-stock items promptly.  The remaining pre-order items will ship based on the estimated ship date. 
  • Please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for monogrammed orders to be shipped. 

Tracking Packages

  • Once your item has shipped, you should receive a notification email with a tracking number. 
  • Sometimes, shipping labels are printed out in advance to prepare for a large shipping day. Once the shipping label is printed, the emailed alert is automatically sent from the website system. If the tracking has not updated in a few days to show that it has moved since the initial alert, there is no reason to worry.  We would recommend that you give it a few more days and then you should see it starting to move and the tracking starting to update. If you ordered monogramming, your item is likely with the embroidery team and will ship out promptly once the process is completed.

Missing Packages

  • Once items have been fulfilled and shipped, it is the responsibility of USPS to get your items to you on time.
  • If your package is not tracking or missing, we are happy to assist you in locating the package, but we suggest contacting your local post office or reaching out to your letter carrier as the first point of contact.
  • Once an order is in the hands of USPS, they are responsible for missing, lost or damaged packages.

  • Please check your address prior to checkout to avoid shipping errors. Southern Smocked Company is not responsible for missing or lost packages or packages delivered to wrong addresses once it is in the hands of USPS. Refunds will not be given.

  • Customers can contact the USPS Customer Service (1-800-275-8777) to file a claim on a stalled package.
